Places to stay
Ideas for places to stay.

The wedding ceremony is in Northampton, and the reception is in Earls Barton. There is only 8 miles, 20 minutes by car between the two places. So when looking for local accommodation, staying near either place will be equally convenient.

Search on Booking.com for hotels/bed-and-breakfasts around Northampton and Earls Barton. There is a reasonably large selection. Do avoid anywhere that says “Wellingborough”. It is not a pleasant town, regardless of how well they have touched up the hotel photos.

Airbnb If you do a search for properties near Earls Barton, there is not a huge selection, but you may prefer this type of accommodation than a hotel. There are some interesting properties in some of the lovely, quaint villages in the area, such as Olney, Turvey and Yardley Hastings, all of which are relatively close to Earls Barton. You could even spend a night in a Shepherd’s Hut. Personally I think it looks like a glorified, over-priced caravan, but it might float your boat. On the subject of caravans, Airbnb and Booking.com will give you options of “Holiday homes in Great Billing”, and this definitely IS a caravan park.

The World's End

This is a pub/hotel with a good reputation, and is situated halfway between Earls Barton and Northampton

Northampton Town Centre Premier Inn

This hotel is about 2 minutes walk from the Northampton Guildhall where the ceremony will take place. Premier Inn’s are usually basic but clean and friendly.
